How many sensors?
£75
One sensor, fitted and programmed.
Fixed prices for most cars. If yours needs a specialist sensor that costs more, we tell you before any work starts.
Signs a sensor needs replacing
- The warning light flashes when you start the car, then stays on.
- The light stays on even though all four tyres are at the right pressure.
- Your car shows a reading for each tyre and one wheel is blank.
- The light came on after new tyres or a wheel swap.
- A valve or sensor is visibly damaged or corroded.
What the job involves
We take the tyre off the rim, swap the sensor, refit the tyre, then program the new sensor so the car recognises it. We check the light has gone out before you leave. The price covers all of it.
One sensor or all four?
A failed sensor needs replacing. Most sensors run on a sealed battery, and the others on the car are usually the same age, so they may not be far behind. Doing all four costs £240, against £300 at the single price.
Does my car have sensors in the wheels?
Not every car does. Some estimate tyre pressure from the ABS wheel speed sensors and have nothing inside the wheel to replace. Those cars need a reset instead. Text us your registration and we will tell you which type you have.
